In recent developments, Boston Scientific has pursued an aggressive acquisition strategy, including agreements to acquire Bolt Medical for up to $664 million to enhance its intravascular lithotripsy offerings for coronary and peripheral artery disease (expected close in first half of 2025), SoniVie Ltd. for up to $600 million to advance therapeutic intravascular ultrasound for renal denervation in hypertension treatment (expected close in first half of 2025), Elutia's BioEnvelope division to reduce complications in cardiac rhythm management devices, Anrei Medical for $182 million to bolster endoscopy solutions, Intera Oncology for interventional oncology in liver metastases, and Cortex; the company also completed its $3.7 billion acquisition of Axonics in November 2024 and received $2.6 million in state funding for a 52,000-square-foot manufacturing expansion at its Maple Grove, Minnesota campus to support WATCHMAN product growth, alongside launching approximately 100 new products in 2024.
